Events

The Garden Clubs rely on Florescence proceeds to support their many essential projects to preserve and cultivate gardens, parks, and green spaces throughout our community. Sponsorship opportunities for these events begin at $1,500 and more information can be found here.

Tickets are required for entry into each of the events.

New Wave Floral Presentation and Reception

Tomas De Bruyne from Belgium is one of the most sought after and respected international floral designers today. Tomas (co-) published over 15 books. He has presented and reached audiences at every corner of the continents with his talent and knowledge. Tomas has also been published in more than 60 magazines worldwide. Along with giving seminars and demonstrations he has been commissioned to work on many prestigious projects worldwide. In 2013, a new variety of Gloriosa lily was officially named after Tomas De Bruyne.

His services range from a home dinner party to events catering to thousands. They are prepared for all aspects of local Belgian to international destination events. From concept to completion.

Interior designer Carey Maloney and architect Hermes Mallea of M (Group) are based out of New York City. Together, they create award-winning, luxurious spaces for their clients.

Carey Maloney, a Texan by birth and a New Yorker by choice, founded the architecture and interior design firm, M (Group) with his partner, architect Hermes Mallea, in 1984. M (Group)’s award-winning work has been published internationally, and the firm receives accolades for employing classic forms wisely, boldly, and with considerable wit and subtlety for a roster of illustrious clients.

Hermes Mallea is an architect and a partner in M (Group). He studied at the University of Miami’s School of Architecture and Columbia University’s Graduate School of Architecture, Planning, and Preservation and is a member of the American Institute of Architects. He is the author of Great Houses of Havana.
